This Privacy Policy describes how Shixiang Zhao (Max Chao) ("we", "our", or "us") handles data within the mobile application Gestura (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a transparent user experience.
The App does not automatically collect or track any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location) during normal operational use.
Offline Mode: When using the App's offline capabilities, all text processing and AI model executions are performed entirely on your device (on-device). No data is transmitted to external servers.
Online Mode / Custom Server: When you connect the App to an Ollama server or any custom API endpoint, the text, images, prompts, or related input content you provide may be transmitted to the designated server solely for the purpose of generating real-time AI responses. We do not intercept, view, or store the text, images, prompts, or related input content processed during this connection. Please note that you are solely responsible for the privacy practices and security of the custom server you choose to connect with.
The App includes a built-in feedback feature. When you voluntarily choose to use the "Report" or "Feedback" functions, the App securely transmits the following details to our developer database solely to help us diagnose issues and fix bugs:
Report Content: The AI text, prompt, related input content, or feedback you choose to submit.
Device & System Info: The App version, device model (e.g., Pixel 8), Android OS version, and system language setting.
Purpose: This data is used strictly for bug fixing, improving AI stability, and providing appropriate language support. It will never be used for marketing, user tracking, advertising profiling, or shared with third parties.
Retention Period: Any diagnostic data, text, images, prompts, or related input content received via the feedback feature will be securely stored and will be automatically and permanently deleted within six (6) months from the date of receipt.
Your Rights: Depending on your jurisdiction (such as GDPR or local data protection laws), you have the right to access, correct, or request the immediate deletion of your submitted technical data at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us at zawshishawn@gmail.com and specify the approximate time of your report or relevant device details so we can locate and remove it from our records.
The App does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, tracking software, or analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics) that monitor your behavior or collect your data.
Google Play Billing: If you make a purchase or subscription through the App, the transaction is processed by Google Play. Google may process payment, account, device, purchase, and transaction-related information according to Google's own terms and privacy policy. The App may receive limited purchase status or entitlement information only to activate, verify, or manage purchased features.
The App may use the Hugging Face API to retrieve publicly available model information, such as model names, descriptions, metadata, and download links. If you choose to download a model, your device may connect directly to Hugging Face or the relevant model file source. Those third-party services may process your IP address, request logs, network routing information, or similar technical data according to their own privacy policies.
The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has submitted feedback or data to us without your consent, please contact us immediately at zawshishawn@gmail.com, and we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our records.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Effective Date". You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
